- Last month, Bruce Pearl retired after 11 seasons at Auburn with a 246-125 record and handed the program to his son Steven Pearl, who was on his staff all 11 seasons.
- Pearl will join TNT's studio crew for Big East and Big 12 coverage alongside Jalen Rose, Jamal Mashburn, Chris Webber and host Adam Lefkoe, and he said `I don't think it took them 24 hours to reach out`.
- Logistically, the move is aided by Turner Network Studios in Atlanta, about a two-hour drive from Pearl's Auburn, Alabama home, with his on-air debut on Nov. 3.
- With three decades of coaching, Pearl led Milwaukee, Tennessee and Auburn to 22 NCAA Tournament appearances with a 694-270 record, and his past March Madness work makes the transition natural.
