Brown's Country Store & Restaurant to become a Mexican restaurant and market

Shelli Poole, author of the MySaline.com blog, reports that the former Brown’s Country Store & Restaurant, the iconic building off I-30 in Benton that looks like a two-story saloon, has been purchased by a group of private investors. Brown’s closed in 2020 after owners Phillip and Cissy Brown announced plans to retire.The new owners plan to renovate the building and open a Mexican market with a bakery and custom butcher shop.
