A grey seal calf was rescued on the New Jersey coast by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Long Branch after being found with a piece of monofilament net heavily embedded in its neck in front of the Ocean View Towers. The puppy, a male of approximately 67.4 pounds, presented a significant wound caused by the entanglement.
