Dutch brewers and pub owners are worried about their viability now that a new tax increase on alcohol is looming. In the first half of the year, nearly three percent less beer was sold than last year. "This paternalistic cabinet threatens to destroy the cohesion of society," says an enraged brewers' chairman Fred Teeven.
