Brewers Out for Revenge Against Dodgers as Teams Prepare for NLCS Rematch
- Milwaukee Brewers captain and 2018 National League MVP Christian Yelich was absent from the starting lineup for Sunday's NLCS Game 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers at American Family Field.
- Brewers manager Pat Murphy benched the veteran in favor of Andrew Vaughn to utilize a right-handed hitter against Dodgers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.
- Murphy noted Vaughn is 5-for-22 against Skubal in his career. "It's about our team and what's best for our team today," the manager said.
- Right-Hander Jacob Misiorowski takes the mound to counter Skubal in this rematch of last season's NLCS, where the Dodgers swept Milwaukee in four games.
- Although Milwaukee finished the season with the best National League record at 103-59, prediction markets currently view the Dodgers as having a 56.0% chance to win Game 1.
