Brett Sullivan hit a two-run single in the 11th inning to cap Colorado's comeback, lifting the Rockies to a 6-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles in Denver on Wednesday.
Trevor Rogers recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts for the Orioles, fanning six straight batters at one point, yet left the game with a 3-2 lead in the seventh inning.
Baltimore took a 5-3 lead in the 11th on RBI singles by Samuel Basallo and Blaze Alexander, who finished with three hits, but Colorado rallied against Grant Wolfram .
The loss dealt a blow to the Orioles in their wild-card race; the 69-71 Baltimore club fell two games behind Cleveland for the final playoff berth after their trip out West.
Following the road trip, the Orioles return home to open a four-game series against Boston on Friday, while the Rockies continue their homestand against St. Louis.
