The Dutch train operator GoVolta intends to compete with Eurostar on the high-speed line from Amsterdam to Paris. The Breda-based company has reported this to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). GoVolta hopes to launch the new train service in December 2028. The company will operate via conventional rail to the French capital starting at the end of this year, but that journey takes three hours longer.
