Tuesday marked the 50th anniversary of the most tragic CSA plane crash in what was then Czechoslovakia. An IL-18 plane flying from Prague to Bratislava crashed into Lake Zlaté piesky on July 28, 1976. There were 79 people on board, 76 of whom died.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the plane crash at Golden Sands in Bratislava, a memorial service for the victims of the tragedy will be held on Tuesday afternoon. It will take place at the memorial to the event near the lake.
