Construction has commenced at Neoen’s Muchea Battery in Western Australia—the first 6-hour long-duration storage asset in the renewable energy giant’s global portfolio. Located approximately 2km north of the town of Muchea, the battery will be a standalone asset with a capacity of 164MW/905MWh, connecting to Western Power’s network via the adjacent Muchea substation.
