Neto's 25 Lead Boise State over Butler 100-81
Boise State shot 49% from 3-point range and never trailed after a 20-point halftime lead, while Butler finished 8 of 36 from long distance.
On Sunday, the Boise State Broncos defeated the Butler Bulldogs 100-81 at ExtraMile Arena, with Aginaldo Neto leading the team with 25 points and six rebounds.
Butler entered the game after a record-setting performance Wednesday, but the team struggled significantly against the Boise State defense, converting only 22 percent of their 36 long-distance attempts.
Shooting 49 percent from beyond the arc, the Broncos saw Spencer Ahrens contribute 24 points with five 3-pointers and Pearson Carmichael add 14 points to secure the victory.
The Bulldogs were unable to complete a comeback despite a late 15-1 scoring run that trimmed the deficit to 11 on three occasions in the second half.
Boise State will continue non-conference play on Wednesday by hosting Oakland, a team searching for its first win after an 0-3 start this season.
