Painting by Blue Jays Ace Dylan Cease to Be Exhibited at Art Gallery of Ontario
The gallery will display his painting in Walker Court, highlighting the Blue Jays pitcher’s season-long art project.
Starting Tuesday, The Art Gallery will exhibit Dylan Cease's painting 'Eve of Toronto ' in Walker Court, the gallery's central atrium.
Beyond his prowess on the mound, Cease paints during his free time, including a custom piece completed for Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider earlier this season.
The 30-year-old right-hander has become an American League Young Award contender, maintaining a 2.42 earned-run average with 201 strikeouts this season.
Proceeds from a limited-edition collection featuring the artwork support the AGO's charitable mission, with sales launching Tuesday alongside Cease's seven-year, US$210 million Toronto contract.
The exhibition highlights Cease's dual life as a professional athlete and artist, showcasing how the Toronto Blue Jays pitcher balances creative pursuits with an elite baseball career.
