Student-Led Movement Launches Election Challenge to Serbian Government
The student-led opposition began its campaign to unseat President Alexander Vucic’s government in October’s parliamentary polls with a rally in Novi Sad, where a fatal disaster in 2024 triggered the protest movement.
The student movement held its first rally in the framework of the election campaign in Novi Sad, in front of the Serbian National Theatre, under the slogan "The hour has struck, the students are winning!".
The pre-election campaign has officially started - yesterday in Novi Sad, students held their first rally called "Student list - Students are winning". Political scientist Dušan Milenković and journalist Filip Švarm tell Mašina that at the moment it seems as if only students are ready for the campaign and that the actors' activity is asymmetrical.
