Black lives suffer as feds delay menthol cigarette action

As Black leaders in the South Bay, we urge the White House to approve the Food and Drug Administration’s plan to prohibit menthol cigarettes nationwide. The sale of select flavored cigarettes has been prohibited since 2009 but has not included menthol. We have been working for decades to prevent the damage of tobacco use, especially among youth. A decision has not yet been made.
