Opposition leader and PAIGC chief Domingos Simoes Pereira was questioned on Wednesday, July 8, by the High Military Court of Bissau. He is accused of involvement in an alleged coup attempt last year.
The Permanent Committee of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC) today accused the regime of Bissau of wanting to eliminate the leader, Domingos Simões Pereira, politically and physically.

On Wednesday 8 July 2026, at 11.30 a.m. precise, the building of the Superior Military Court of Bissau will know the hearing whose outcome could send Domingos Simões Pereira, president of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC) behind bars.
