BGSU hockey drops shootout to Notre Dame to conclude home-and-home series

BOWLING GREEN – The Bowling Green State University hockey team skated to another tie against Notre Dame, ending regulation tied 2-2 before falling in a shootout to the Big Ten foe in its final non-conference game of the season.

Bowling Green and Notre Dame Play to an Electric 2-2 Tie

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (14-6-6) and Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-18-3) played an exciting contest that required overtime and a shootout before the sold-out Slater Family Ice Arena crowd could head home. The crowd of 5,000 saw the teams skate to a 2-2 tie, which Notre Dame finished with a shootout goal in the eighth round. The shootout result had no bearing on the non-conference contest.

Falcon fanbase rallies to support BGSU hockey on the road

The Falcon faithful flocked to South Bend to support BGSU hockey (14-6-5, 11-4-3) in their draw against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-18-2, 1-13) on Friday.  The avid support for BG Hockey has been long-standing and well-documented, as the Slater Family Ice Arena has been the home of the Falcons since 1967.
