A Bessemer man has been convicted of scamming an elderly family member out of more than $500,000.A federal jury in Birmingham, after two days of testimony, found 47-year-old Terrance Alonzo Pruitt guilty on two counts of wire fraud, according to Northern District of Alabama U.S. Attorney Prim Escalona and FBI Special Agent in Charge Carlton Peeples.
