No surprise: the previous Vice President Christoph Ammann will take over the board of the Swiss National Bank's Bank Council on 1 May 2027. He will succeed Barbara Janom Steiner, who will reach her maximum term of office of 12 years.
The former Bernese Governing Councillor Christoph Ammann has been appointed by the Federal Council as the new President of the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank. He will take up the new post on 1 May 2027 and replace Barbara Janom Steiner.
