The Belgian author Stefan Hertmans, known for works including ‘War and Turpentine’, has been nominated as a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Ton van Kalmthout, chairman of the Society of Dutch Literature, indicated this in an interview with ‘Vrij Nederland’.
