Father Janusz Pulit, a Polish priest from the Congregation of Missionary Priests, must leave the country after 32 years of service in Belarus. The authorities did not extend his pastoral work permit, and an attempt to have the decision reconsidered was unsuccessful, reports the Niedziela portal, citing KAI.
Belarus refused to issue a permit to serve another priest of the Pinsk Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, Janusz Pulita (he has Polish citizenship). This was announced by Bishop Anthony Demyanko of Pinsk. According to him, Pulita has been rector of parishes in Ruzhany and Lyskovo, Pruzhany District, for 32 years.
