BEECH MOUNTAIN — The Beech Mountain Town Council addressed resident concerns about wildfire risks and budget transparency during its June 10 meeting, while also approving a $12 million annual budget, a total which has almost doubled since 2021.

Preliminary budget approved by council

Oakdale’s budget consists of more than 80 individual fund accounts, including restricted enterprise funds such as the Water and Sewer Funds, which can only be used for specific operations.
