BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) - A 53-year-old man was killed in a shooting on Tuesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, police say. Derrick Thomas, 53, was shot multiple times around 3:08 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27 while in a car in the 9800 block of Avenue J. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
