The green Basel city hall has taken a step to reduce individual car traffic. Residents who decide to deregister their vehicle can receive a one-time "ecological bonus" of 1,500 francs (about 39,000 CZK - editor's note). A total of 700,000 francs has been allocated for this initiative from the mobility fund, the local daily Basler Zeitung reported.
