Baltimore Ravens to Sign Quarterback Skylar Thompson to 1-Year Contract
Skylar Thompson adds veteran depth as Baltimore likely carries five quarterbacks while evaluating rookies ahead of OTAs and minicamp.
On Monday, the Baltimore Ravens agreed to sign veteran quarterback Skylar Thompson to a one-year contract, adding the four-year veteran to their expanding offseason roster.
First-Year Ravens coach Jesse Minter indicated the team could carry up to five quarterbacks this offseason, expanding depth behind starters Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
Thompson, a 2022 seventh-round draft pick, holds a 1-2 record as a starter and has thrown for 721 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in his career.
Thompson will compete for the third quarterback spot alongside undrafted rookies Diego Pavia and Joe Fagnano, with Pavia generating significant attention at the team's recent minicamp.
The team continues its evaluation process leading into the mandatory minicamp scheduled for June 9-11, where coaching staff will assess which quarterbacks secure final roster spots.
