Ravens Responded Again Under Pressure to Improve to 4-1 Despite Injuries
Jesse Minter said Lamar Jackson is working to return after a left high-ankle sprain, while Tyler Huntley led Baltimore to a 30-23 overtime win.
Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said on Monday that Lamar Jackson is "definitely doing better" after an ankle injury, though his availability for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns remains uncertain.
Jackson suffered the ankle injury during the Week 4 victory over the Tennessee Titans, which forced him to miss Sunday's 30-23 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons.
Stepping in for Jackson, Tyler Huntley completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns in Atlanta, helping the Ravens move to 4-1 and lead the AFC North by one game.
Despite being sidelined, Jackson remained engaged on the sideline, with Minter noting he was "talking to 'Snoop' and hyping guys up" while "doing everything he can" to return.
The Ravens may also receive reinforcements for Sunday's matchup in Cleveland, as Minter expressed optimism regarding the potential return of center Cam Jurgens, edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, and receiver Ja'Kobi Lane.
