More than 100 people reportedly fell sick after attending a housewarming feast in Odisha’s Balasore district. Over 60 people were said to be in serious condition while more than 30 children were among those affected, with several patients rushed to hospitals after developing vomiting, diarrhoea and severe stomach pain.

Jaleswar: More than 70 people fell ill with diarrhoea after attending a housewarming feast in Balasore district of Odisha on Thursday. The incident took place in the Kharida village under Jaleswar block. The incident occurred during a griha pratistha ceremony held in the village.
