- On Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated Fordham 45-7 at Brooks Stadium, giving head coach Ryan Beard his first victory with the program in front of 18,113 fans.
- Coming off a 31-24 loss at West Virginia, the Chanticleers responded by amassing 460 yards of offense and rushing for 251 yards on 41 carries after managing only 52 yards on the ground in Week 1.
- Freshman quarterback Deuce Bailey threw three touchdowns, while sophomore running back Dominic Lee-Knicely scored two rushing touchdowns and senior kicker Nico Cavanillas-Alti set a program record with a 56-yard field goal in the third quarter.
- The CCU defense forced four turnovers and held the Fordham Rams to 215 yards of offense while recording four sacks; defensive backs Travis Roman, Ja'Marion Wayne, and Zeke Marshall each intercepted passes.
