Ayo Edebiri in Chanel Couture at 'Clarissa' London Premiere
The Emmy-winning actor wore a feathered Chanel couture look from Matthieu Blazy’s spring 2026 collection while promoting her film Clarissa.
On Monday, October 12, actor Ayo Edebiri attended the 70th BFI London Film Festival wearing a two-piece Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 haute couture look designed by creative director Matthieu Blazy, featuring a cream top with a dramatic feathered bustle.
Blazy designed the piece for Chanel's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which draws inspiration from fairytales and avian motifs. The back features 19 bejeweled silver buttons trailing down to a voluminous feathery tail.
Edebiri is promoting her new film Clarissa, which reimagines Virginia Woolf's 1925 novel Mrs. Dalloway. Birds are a recurring motif in the source material, mirroring the avian aesthetic Blazy incorporated into the couture design.
Working with stylist Danielle Goldberg, Edebiri accessorized the ensemble with hand-blown glass earrings and black sandals as a Chanel ambassador. Goldberg emphasized the look's youthful, breezy quality.
Plumed couture looks have become a broader trend on recent red carpets. Blazy told Vogue's Nicole Phelps, "I think there is a space for poetry, beauty, joy, and it's a good remedy to the dark time.
