Colorado Avalanche Unveil Nordiques Jersey Schedule

On Tuesday morning, the Colorado Avalanche unveiled Nordiques specialty jerseys as part of the franchise's 30th anniversary season since leaving Quebec City, and the club said it will debut them Thursday.
Built as a Quebec City team in 1972, the club moved west in 1995 after COMSAT Entertainment Group purchased the Quebec Nordiques, becoming the Colorado Avalanche.
The throwbacks feature a blue, red and white color scheme referencing the French flag and Quebecois design elements, including an igloo logo shaped like an 'N' with a hockey stick and puck and fleur-de-lis motifs on shoulders and waist.
The Avs will wear the throwbacks seven total games in the 2025-26 season, debuting against the Carolina Hurricanes, who will wear Hartford Whalers throwbacks.
Gabe Landeskog said he collected Nordiques cards as a kid and now gets to wear one of hockey's most iconic uniforms, honoring the Quebec days and fan base.
