Avalanche danger rises to considerable

The Utah Avalanche Center warned Friday morning that the avalanche danger is considerable on upper-elevation slopes facing northwest through southeast where triggering a slab of wind-drifted snow is likely. Other slopes at the mid and upper elevations have a moderate danger where triggering avalanches involving sluffing or soft slabs of new snow is possible.
