Car Crisis: Krasser Profit Break at Audi
Audi has presented its new quarterly figures, which means that the profit of the car manufacturer is clearly falling.
The US tariffs hit Audi particularly strongly. However, the announcement of the figures is overshadowed by an appearance by Audi CEO Döllner at one of US President Donald Trump.
In the third quarter, the car manufacturer Audi almost slips into the red. After tax, the VW subsidiary earns only EUR 95 million - 87 percent less than in the same period last year. Among other reasons, the company mentions the market collapse in China.
Again bad news from Ingolstadt: Audi, the car manufacturer, is slipping deeper into the crisis. "The need for action at Audi is high," says Chief Financial Officer Jürgen Rittersberger.
