- The inaugural AI Ready ASEAN Youth Challenge called on youth aged 18 to 35 to develop solutions themed "AI for an Inclusive and Sustainable ASEAN" across healthcare, education, and social inclusion.
- Shortlisted from over 600 submissions across ASEAN Member States, 11 projects addressed community needs, with winning teams from Brunei, Cambodia, and Myanmar receiving USD 5,000, USD 3,000, and USD 1,000 respectively.
- Earlier on Tuesday, SingHealth signed two Memoranda of Understanding at the SingHealth AI in Health Symposium to advance AI-powered healthcare research and accelerate diagnostic solutions for patients and health systems.
- These initiatives support the AI Ready ASEAN goal to equip 5.5 million people with foundational AI literacy, while a Bhutanese healthcare AI model is expected to roll out in 2027 across regional health systems.
