ASUS Goes Big In The OLED Monitor Market With A Wave Of New Models – channelnews
Asus is flooding the monitor market with 15 new OLED models, spanning professional displays, gaming screens and ultra-fast esports monitors. The expanded range stretches from 25 to 34 inches and includes six Tandem WOLED monitors and nine QD-OLED models, with refresh rates ranging from 120Hz to 720Hz. Among the latest additions are the 26.5-inch ProArt PA279CDV and 31.5-inch PA329CDV, both aimed at creative professionals. The two monitors feature 4K QD-OLED panels, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness and factory calibration with Delta E below 1.5. They also cover 99% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and support true 10-bit colour. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 with daisy-chaining and USB-C with up to 96W power delivery. An integrated Auto KVM feature lets users control two connected computers using the same keyboard and mouse. Australian availability is beginning to take shape, although several models are yet to receive confirmed local pricing. The PA279CDV is listed for pre-order through Australian retailers for A$1,499, with stock expected around August 10 or 11. Asus has also published an Australian product page for the larger model, although a local price and retail release date have not yet been announced. Gaming models make up much of the wider line-up, including the 32-inch ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 (above), which combines a 4K 240Hz Tandem QD-OLED panel with DisplayPort 2.1, USB-C charging and Asus’ new BlackShield coating. The A$2,399 model features BlackShield, which is designed to maintain deeper-looking blacks in brightly lit rooms while increasing panel scratch resistance. Other upcoming models include dual-mode 4K displays capable of switching between 240Hz and 480Hz, curved 34-inch ultrawides and a 25-inch esports monitor offering a 540Hz refresh rate.
