Assassin's Creed Hexe Gets Long-Awaited Development Update From Ubisoft

Ubisoft says it is focusing on new Assassin's Creed titles and will keep exploring older games, while Black Flag Resynced drew lessons from development.

  • On Thursday, Ubisoft announced a New Game+ mode for Creed Valhalla, arriving November 5 with new progression, runes, achievements, and a crafting material called Mithril for upgrading divine gear.
  • Creed Valhalla launched in 2020, but Ubisoft has slow-walked support for the six-year-old title; players waited nearly two years for Steam achievements and the company continued fixing bugs as late as January 2025.
  • Ubisoft clarified that no other remakes are currently in development following Creed Black Flag Resynced's release, though the company remains open to revisiting classic titles in the future.
  • Elsewhere, Codename Invictus recently held a private playtest where players provided feedback on the PvP multiplayer project, and production on the Netflix live-action series is nearing completion.
  • The franchise will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027, the same year Ubisoft plans to share major updates on Codename Hexe, described as a darker Assassin's Creed experience.
