On September 30th in Hanoi, Vietnam chaired the ASEAN Conference on the Apprehension of Fugitive Criminals, promoting information sharing, cross-border coordination, and building a rule-of-law ASEAN. ASEAN promoted media cooperation in the digital age. Vietnam and Laos coordinated efforts to combat drug crime. Timely institutionalization of new policies and guidelines in crime prevention and control was also discussed.
