Asda reassures angry shoppers over rumour much-loved service is being cut
The supermarket said freshly made pizzas will remain available in all 464 stores after online posts claimed the counters were being cut back.
Asda confirmed that its popular 'create your own pizza' counters will not be limited to weekends, ending speculation that the service was being cut back.
Users on Twitter claimed the service would be restricted to weekends, sparking disappointment among shoppers who enjoy customizing their pizzas during the week.
One user wrote, "ASDA make your own pizza down to weekends only," while others described the rumored change as "Just the start of a downward spiral."
A spokesman for the supermarket said, "They can be reassured that freshly made pizzas will continue to be available in all 464 of our stores as usual."
This is not the first time the future of the pizza counters has come into question, as similar rumors suggesting the service was being discontinued previously circulated.
