Arkansas Snaps 14-Game SEC Skid with 31-21 Road Win over Vanderbilt
Cam Settles scored two touchdowns and KJ Jackson passed for 251 yards as Arkansas ended a 14-game Southeastern Conference losing streak.
On Saturday, Arkansas defeated Vanderbilt 31-21 in Nashville, ending a 14-game SEC losing streak dating back to Oct. 26, 2024, and earning head coach Ryan Silverfield his first conference victory.
Running back Cam Settles scored two touchdowns, including a 3-yard go-ahead run with nine seconds left in the third quarter that snapped a 21-21 tie, while quarterback KJ Jackson threw for 251 yards.
Defensive contributors Miguel Mitchell and Joker Johnson each recorded interceptions, while the Razorbacks maintained a 438-390 total yardage advantage and amassed 187 rushing yards.
"It's awesome," Silverfield told SEC Network after the win, which leaves Vanderbilt as the lone winless team in the SEC while Arkansas improved to 1-3 in conference play.
The Razorbacks will observe an open date on Oct. 24 before returning to action inside Razorback Stadium against Missouri on Oct. 31.
