Arizona Court System Hit by Cyberattack, Personal Data of Many Residents Potentially Stolen
Court officials said hackers copied names, addresses and protective-order data, and the Administrative Office of the Courts is notifying affected residents.
- On Friday, Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Ann Scott Timmer announced a cyberattack on the court system involving criminal hackers or automated "bots" that copied personally identifiable information belonging to many Arizonans.

- Timmer pledged full commitment to supporting the FBI investigation, while retired FBI special agent John Iannarelli stated that until information appears online, it is safe to assume no damage has occurred yet.
- The Administrative Office of the Courts is notifying affected individuals while investigators work with the FBI. Despite significant safeguards, the court system acknowledged that no computer network is 100% secure.
