Apple Reveals Updated iPad Mini with a Bigger OLED Screen for $700
Apple says the new Mac models deliver up to 13 times faster AI performance and 24 hours of battery life on the 14-inch laptop.
- On Wednesday, Apple opened preorders for its new 8th-generation iPad Mini and updated M6 Mac lineup, following the company's 'Pro and Tell' event held earlier this week in Los Angeles.
- The 8th-generation iPad Mini features an 8.5-inch OLED display, the A20 Pro chip, and a thinner design than its 2024 predecessor, marking what Amazon called the tablet's "biggest update ever."
- Pricing for the new iPad Mini starts at $699 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model, while M6 MacBook Pro configurations begin at $1,999 for the 14-inch base model.
- The device introduces an "Acoustic Display" for enhanced audio, a landscape-oriented 12MP front camera for FaceTime calls, and IP67 water and dust resistance for increased durability.
- While customers can place orders immediately, the new iPad Mini and M6 Mac devices will not arrive at Apple Stores and customer homes until November 6.
