10 Sep, 2026: The Maharashtra government has tightened regulations for app-based cab services, directing ride-hailing aggregators such as Bharat Taxi, Rapido, Uber, Ola, Shalini Cabs and Cityflo to submit complete details of their drivers within 90 days. The directive, issued under the Maharashtra Aggregator Policy 2026, requires aggregators to provide verified driver profiles along with residence
Maharashtra Taxi Drivers: Under the Maharashtra Aggregator Policy 2026, app-based taxi companies will be required to submit driver verification reports every three months. Domicile status and Marathi language will be mandatory for drivers.
A meeting was held to review the implementation of the Maharashtra Aggregator Policy 2026. In it, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has given instructions to the AP-based taxi drivers.
