The Consumer Protection and Competition Authority (Acodeco) detected irregularities in the application of the discounts established by Law 6 for retirees, pensioners and senior citizens during an operation carried out in shops on 17 April Avenue, in the district of Changuinola, province of Bocas del Toro.
The payment that complements the assets was extended for payment in August, according to the Official Gazette. The Executive froze that sum since March 2024. Due to inflation, it lost almost 70% of the value it had at that time.
