Animal neglect case against two hunt masters after hounds shot thrown out of court

The judge said prosecutors failed to show the hunt directors were liable for the hounds' welfare after the case lasted more than three days.

Retired vet, Elizabeth Gorse, and her co-defendant Teryl Knowles, were joint master and directors of the Cheshire Forest Hunt when the tragic incident occurred on land off Barnhouse Lane, Great Barrow, on Wednesday, February 12, last year.
