Saturday, September 7, at pm. 21.00 An emergency situation had developed on the 2nd floor of the 25th building of the Paula Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital because the hospital staff noticed smouldering. The evacuation of patients and staff was immediately started — all patients were transferred to the hospital's A1 building. The State Fire and Rescue Service was called immediately, the hospital said in a statement.
