Altus Group Announces the Sale of its Canadian Appraisals Business to Newmark
Newmark will integrate over 140 appraisal professionals and expand software licenses including ARGUS Intelligence, aiming to grow its Canadian Valuation & Advisory services.
- Altus Group entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Canadian Appraisals business to an affiliate of Newmark, expected to close on or about March 1, 2026.
- With roots spanning more than 25 years in Canada, Altus Group said its Canadian Appraisals business has over 140 professionals, eight offices, and more than 3,000 clients, reflecting efforts to simplify the portfolio.
- Newmark appointed Colin Johnston as Head of Valuation & Advisory Services, Canada, and entered a multi-year license for ARGUS Intelligence and other Altus software, including Forbury, ARGUS EstateMaster, Reonomy, and Altus Data Studio.
- Newmark's revenues of over $3.1 billion and 170 offices will be enhanced with the addition of a respected Canadian valuation team, strengthening its global scale and capabilities, the company said.
