Alienware Unveils 32-Inch 4K OLED And 560Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitors
Alienware says the displays use RGB Stripe Tandem OLED and Team Liquid feedback to improve brightness, text clarity and esports ergonomics.
- At IFA in Berlin, Alienware unveiled two new gaming monitors: the 32-inch 4K OLED AW3226Q arriving this fall and the 24.5-inch 560Hz QD-OLED AW2527HX launching early next year.
- The AW3226Q utilizes RGB Stripe Tandem technology, stacking four emissive layers behind an RGB-stripe subpixel arrangement to improve brightness, color purity, and text clarity.
- Developed alongside esports organization Team Liquid, the AW2527HX features a 560 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time; head of product Matt McGowan pitched it as Alienware's "fastest monitor ever."
- Both monitors feature ergonomic designs with telescopic stands and rotational markers; the AW2527HX adds a dedicated esports button to instantly toggle between 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratios.
- Alienware aims to replace TN-based esports monitors with QD-OLED technology, hoping to convince professionals that OLED offers superior motion clarity as Asus and Samsung announce competing 500+Hz alternatives.
