The Algerian authorities should withdraw the proposed amendments to the Penal Code and abandon plans to resume the implementation of its provisions after a virtual interruption of more than three decades: they refused to extend the scope of the death penalty and implement its provisions, which appeared first on the Cairo Centre for Human Rights Studies.
