The Iranian Embassy in the Netherlands has strongly rejected Amsterdams accusations of Tehrans involvement in assassination attempts in Europe.

An Iranian critic was apparently to be killed by order from Tehran in the Netherlands, reports the Dutch intelligence agency AIVD.

For Dutch intelligence, this assassination attempt "expresses the threat that foreign regimes may pose." The Foreign Minister summoned the Iranian ambassador.
