- AAX said the route is its second fifth‑freedom service, with Kuala Lumpur serving as its gateway to 95 destinations across 23 Asian countries.
- The transaction brought all AirAsia-branded airlines under the AirAsia Group, and Mr. Fernandes said the route strengthens the aviation ecosystem.
