AI is making students more paranoid, research suggests

- Seven in ten students and teachers are actively using it, with 42% of student AI-users turning to it daily or more, establishing widespread adoption despite accuracy doubts.
- Cheating was cited by only one in four students, sitting behind fears of becoming too reliant on AI and losing the ability to think for themselves .
- Teachers raised concerns about exam alignment at a higher rate than students , while more than half of teachers doubt AI saves them time given verification demands.
- Guy Riese, CEO and founder of Up Learn, said students need to turn skepticism into a skill, noting "AI is part of the new normal" and they must use it with trust.
