AI ‘Actor’ Tilly Norwood Abruptly Switches Languages Mid-Interview

During an appearance on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored,' Tilly Norwood, an AI actress created by Particle6, unexpectedly switched from English to Cantonese while discussing her upcoming film 'Misaligned' with host Piers Morgan and actor Tom Conti.
The language shift occurred as Conti asked Norwood if her co-stars in 'Misaligned' were real actors or digital twins. Norwood initially responded, 'They're all digital twins, just like me,' before abruptly switching languages mid-sentence.
Particle6 CEO Eline van der Velden later defended the virtual performer, telling Deadline that 'Tilly can be a bit of a show-off' and noting the AI can communicate in more than 30 languages.
Norwood later described the incident as a technical 'hiccup' and an uncommon error, highlighting the challenges of maintaining consistency for AI-generated personalities in unscripted, real-time interview environments.
Reciting Shakespeare, the actress argued that digital and real actors should never compete in the same Oscar categories, deepening Hollywood's ongoing debate regarding artificial intelligence in entertainment.
