AGNICO EAGLE ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL INVESTMENT IN OSISKO METALS INCORPORATED
Agnico Eagle acquired 26 million Osisko shares for C$12.48 million, increasing ownership to nearly 10% and gaining rights to participate in financings and board nominations.
- On Dec. 16, 2025 Agnico Eagle Mines Limited acquired 26,000,000 Osisko Metals Incorporated shares at C$0.48 each for C$12,480,000 in a private placement.
- Prior to the Private Placement Agnico Eagle owned 41,210,000 Common Shares and 20,605,000 Common Share purchase warrants, representing approximately 6.71% non-diluted and 9.73% partially-diluted.
- At closing Agnico Eagle and Osisko signed an amended and restated investor rights agreement granting top-up financing rights, the right to nominate between one and two individuals to the board, and an early warning report will be filed.
- Depending on market conditions Agnico Eagle may acquire or dispose of Osisko securities, using strategic equity investments to complement its project pipeline as Canada's largest mining company and second largest gold producer.
